Welcome to WWBMMC
Welcome to Waterloo Wellington Buddhist Monastery and Meditation Centre. This is a Sri Lankan Theravada Buddhist Monastery serving Kitchener, Waterloo, Guelph, Cambridge, and surrounding areas. We welcome everyone interested in learning about Theravada Buddhism.
WWBMMC is rich in resources. A complete library, audio, and video discourses, and year-round programs are good resources to learn dhamma. More importantly, live and online dhamma discussions with monks living in the monastery and in Sri Lanka can be the ideal starting point for your dhamma journey.
WWBMMC conducts annual and seasonal programs to serve the community. Announcements regarding these programs and other important updates of the monastery are listed here.
Here you can find all the new programs that are initiated by WWBMMC in past years. Most of the programs are ongoing every year. Summer camp for kids is one of our very successful programs. You can find more info on our mindfulness summer camp page.
Everyone Welcome
What is Buddhism? Unlike popular belief, Buddhism is not a specific practice or a set of guidelines about how to behave. Buddhism is a profound understanding that can help anyone to engage with life to the fullest. In our resources hub, you can find the tools to take you to the necessary awareness that makes this understanding possible.
