Welcome to a summer of mindfulness and environmental connection at Lake Monastery, where we guide young minds on a journey of self-discovery and nature conservation with mindfulness.
Our team of dedicated and experienced counselors are looking forward to providing a safe and supportive environment for your child’s personal development. They will guide your child through a variety of engaging activities aimed at cultivating mindfulness, self-awareness, and compassion.

Nestled in the serene environment of Lake Monastery, our camp offers a unique blend of mindfulness practices and environmental education, fostering a deep appreciation for our natural world.

Mindfulness Activities

Our program includes a variety of activities designed to cultivate mindfulness and compassion.

  • Mindful Games: A series of carefully crafted group activities to enhance understanding the five senses.
  • Group Discussions: Engaging in conversations on mindfulness and its relevance in today’s world.
  • Breathing Exercises: Techniques to manage stress and improve focus.
  • Mindful Sitting and Walking: Practices to appreciate the present moment.
  • Mindful Eating: Exercises to enjoy food with awareness and gratitude.

Environmental conservation activities

Environmental Conservation Focus
Our “Mindful Environmental Project” integrates environmental education with hands-on activities, empowering campers to take part in preserving the beauty of Lake Monastery.

This includes.
• Research & effective control measures on invasive species such as Buckthorn, Phragmites & Garlic Mustard
• Cataloguing the birds, amphibians & reptile species inhabiting the Barrie’s Lake ecosystem.
• Environmental education on the current projects at the Barrie’s Lake
• Crafting nests for waterfowl & other birds

Tracks

Little Lotus Learners (Age 4-7yrs)
Beginning stages of mindfulness and growth, much like a lotus flower starting to bloom.

Mindful Meadow Explorers (Age 8-11)
The spirit of adventure and exploration in mindfulness, as they start to explore their inner and outer worlds more deeply.

Conscious Creek Navigators (Age 12-16)
A deeper journey into mindfulness, as these older campers navigate the complexities of their teenage years with conscious awareness.

We start the day at 9:00 a.m. and end at 4.15 p.m. Please refer to the schedule & the tracks.

We prioritize the health and safety of all campers. Our camp follows strict health and safety protocols, including regular sanitization and monitoring of participants’ well-being.

No prior experience is necessary. Our camp is designed to introduce and engage campers of all skill levels in mindfulness and yoga practices. Our counselors will provide guidance and support throughout the camp.

There will be a camp fee of $120 per child per week. You can e-transfer the amount to [email protected] or pay by Cash, Card, Cheque at the Monastery.
