As you are aware, the monthly potluck fundraiser was not held for over a year due to the gathering restrictions imposed by the government. This monthly fundraiser was crucial in meeting the monastery’s monthly mortgage commitment. It is difficult to predict when we will be able to resume the fundraiser again. Relying only on the current donation amounts,….
Ontario declared an emergency shutdown starting from April 3, 2021. To help devotees to comply with the order, the monastery is reverting back to previous guidelines for offering Dane. Please call the monastery ahead of time to arrange a drop-off time. Please offer Dane by keeping it on the table outside the door. Please refrain from visiting inside the monastery.
Now that Waterloo region is in “Red-control category”, effective today, up to three people can visit inside the monastery to offer Buddha Pooja and to listen to Bukthanumodana Dhamma Sermon. Devotees are further requested to refrain from serving food to monks
